EU IP attaché visits Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration

In line with the directives of the National Intellectual Property Administration, the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration hosted a delegation from the European Union Intellectual Property Office, led by IP attaché Benoit Missone, for a productive work exchange meeting on Feb 22.

Deputy director general of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, Yu Chen, was in attendance.

During the event, Yu provided the visiting delegation with an overview of recent developments in Shanghai's intellectual property landscape and outlined the city's work plan for 2024.

He reiterated Shanghai's commitment to bolstering intellectual property protection to facilitate and safeguard the operations and growth of foreign-invested enterprises in the city.

Furthermore, he extended a warm invitation for suggestions and feedback from EU departments and European businesses regarding intellectual property initiatives in Shanghai.

Missone commended the strides made in intellectual property development in China and expressed gratitude to the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration for its support of European businesses operating and expanding in the city.

He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration and exchange between the EU and Shanghai in this critical area.
