A training program on overseas intellectual property (IP) services and a salon in cooperation with Dingxin legal & IP consultation hub were held in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area on Aug 13.
The event was carried out to support enterprises in strengthening international IP strategies and improving their capabilities in overseas operations. It was jointly organized by several authorities including the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, Lin-gang Special Area Administrative Committee and WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Shanghai Service.

The training focused on the practical needs of enterprises regarding overseas expansion. Experts from the Patent Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration explained procedures and application strategies for the international and national phases of Patent Cooperation Treaty applications. Specialists also shared information related to patent application, examination practices and IP strategies in the semiconductor sector.
Experts from the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Shanghai Service introduced international arbitration and mediation services for IP disputes, providing enterprises with practical approaches to resolving cross-border IP conflicts.
At the legal consultation salon, experienced lawyers shared case studies and practical insights into legal risks and dispute resolution for enterprises expanding overseas.
About 60 representatives from enterprises and service institutions in Lin-gang attended the event and engaged in discussions with experts.
