The 12th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF) showcased Shanghai's efforts to strengthen both technological innovation and a comprehensive technology trade ecosystem, attracting more than 1,000 exhibitors and over 600 intended transactions.
Officials from Glasgow City Council in the United Kingdom said modern technology trade depends not only on technical compatibility, but also on trust and cultural partnerships, following more than 20 cooperation projects achieved at last year's CSITF.
Held from June 11 to 13, the fair gathered participants from 22 countries and regions and 24 provincial-level regions in China. The event featured 238 high-tech, specialized, and innovative enterprises, along with 40 global or national first-launch projects.
Organizers said CSITF is expanding its spillover effects by integrating intellectual property services, technology finance, and innovation incubation, improving supply-demand matching in cross-border technology trade and strengthening the broader supporting ecosystem.
Experts identified dexterous robotic hand technologies as a key emerging field, with enterprises showcasing patented solutions on motor-driven, linkage-driven, and tendon-driven systems across a wide range of applications.
Shanghai SAGE Intelligent Technology Co Ltd presented its six-arm embodied intelligent robot, capable of complex industrial tasks with up to 99.9 percent accuracy, and reported nearly 300 intended orders by the end of the event.
Maschine Robot (Beijing) Technology Co Ltd demonstrated brain-computer interface systems powered by artificial intelligence algorithms, enabling neural signal-based interaction applications such as smart ordering and human-machine communication across different scenarios.
The fair also underscored ecosystem-level cooperation, including Shanghai's collaboration with Shigatse in the Xizang autonomous region, as well as new platforms for technology transfer, IP services, and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.
