SIPA holds working exchange with Siemens Healthineers

A delegation from Siemens Healthineers, led by Markus Simon, global head of Intellectual Property (IP) department, and Kong Jun, general manager of Siemens Healthineers Shanghai, visited the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration (SIPA) for a working exchange on March 3. SIPA Director-General Zhu Qigao warmly welcomed the delegation.

Zhu emphasized Shanghai's commitment to fostering high-quality IP development, and ensuring a fair, transparent and equitable environment for market entities. He praised Siemens Healthineers, a century-old company with a global reputation for innovation in healthcare.

Zhu encouraged Siemens Healthineers and other foreign research and development institutions to deepen their involvement in Shanghai's innovation ecosystem and expand their industrial presence in the city. He also invited the company to provide feedback on SIPA's IP policies and services.

SIPA Deputy Director-General Yu Chen presented recent developments in Shanghai's IP landscape and addressed the delegation's questions regarding IP issues in the city.

Simon expressed appreciation for Shanghai's international, rule-of-law business environment and thanked SIPA for its ongoing support of Siemens Healthineers' long-term operations in the city. Kong expressed interest in contributing to the growth of Shanghai's IP ecosystem.
