The Hangtou sub-center of the China (Pudong) Intellectual Property Rights Protection Center was inaugurated on Jan 28 to expand intellectual property (IP) protection services for grassroots enterprises and strengthen innovation support.
The launch highlights Pudong's commitment to improving its business environment and fostering high-quality regional development.
The sub-center is part of ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing local IP service efficiency and extending protection closer to businesses. Operating under the Pudong IP Rights Protection Center, it will deliver rapid, coordinated support to companies navigating IP challenges.
Once operational, the sub-center will provide one-stop services including dispute mediation, infringement assessments, consultations, awareness campaigns, and training. These services aim to help firms manage IP risks effectively and resolve disputes efficiently.
The sub-center will focus on Pudong's key industrial clusters, assisting enterprises with patent pre-examination filings and related services. This targeted approach strengthens innovation capacity, protects technological assets, and aligns IP support with industrial growth.
The establishment of the sub-center is expected to enhance Pudong's IP ecosystem, improve service accessibility for domestic and international enterprises, and provide a predictable, efficient framework that supports sustainable innovation and regional competitiveness.
Looking ahead, the sub-center will continue to expand its services, collaborate with industry associations and research institutes, and provide data-driven insights to help enterprises optimize their innovation strategies and maximize the value of their IP.
