Jiang Tong is currently the director-general of the Patent Examination Management Department at the Patent Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and a first-class inspector.
She holds two master's degrees in law: a Master in Civil and Commercial Law from China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) and a Master of Laws from John Marshall Law School in the United States. As a level 1 patent examiner and a National Leading Talent in Intellectual Property, Jiang started her career at the Patent Office of CNIPA in 1997 and has since been handling reexamination and invalidation cases, and examination administration, etc.
In addition to her consistent contributions to the revisions of Patent Law of the People's Republic of China, its Detailed Rules for Implementation, and Guidelines for Patent Examination, she has led more than 10 CNIPA research projects.
