Shanghai has recently launched the Xuhui District Service Station for Data Product Intellectual Property Registration, to give local innovators one-stop guidance and a fast-track review channel.
The station, located on the first floor of the Xuhui District Administrative Service Center at No 969 Nanning Road, is now fully operational.

The facility provides policy briefings and hands-on assistance with application materials, tracks the progress of key business enterprises and monitors financial actions including IP transactions and pledge financing.
It also promotes the creation, use and protection of data product IP in line with the development of local industry.
Data product IP covers rights to lawfully obtained data that has been substantially processed and creatively developed into valuable datasets, processed data products, or data algorithms.
Open Monday to Friday from 9:00-11:30 am and 1:30-4:30 pm, the station offers personal consultations only and does not handle approvals or issue certificates. It can be reached by phone at 021-6403-8742.
