Under the invitation of AmCham Shanghai, a delegation of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration (SIPA) recently attended a seminar on patent protection hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, with more than 20 representatives from American businesses operating in Shanghai.
The event was designed to deepen foreign enterprises' understanding of intellectual property protection policies, foster government-business dialogue, and support the sustainable development of foreign-invested companies in Shanghai.
During the seminar, a representative of the Intellectual Property Protection Division of the SIPA delivered a presentation titled "Overview of Patent Administrative Protection and Shanghai's Exploration".
The presentation provided an in-depth analysis of the latest patent protection policies, shared insights from Shanghai's experiences, and addressed concerns from American businesses about administrative mediation and judicial confirmation processes.
To further assist foreign enterprises, bilingual copies of two key documents were distributed: the "Administrative Adjudication of Patent Infringement Disputes Case Collection" and "Twelve Questions on Administrative Adjudication of Patent Infringement Disputes". These resources aim to offer guidance on common questions related to patent protection policies.
