At the invitation of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Rui Wenbiao, director-general of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration (SIPA), recently led a delegation to Switzerland and engaged in discussions with Wang Binying, deputy director-general of WIPO, and other officials.

During the talks, Rui expressed gratitude to Wang and WIPO for their ongoing support of Shanghai's intellectual property (IP) initiatives.

Both parties deliberated on various topics, including the implementation of a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Shanghai and WIPO, organization of the 22nd Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum, collaboration on the 5th Shanghai IP Innovation Award, and the development of the Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center in Shanghai.

The delegation also conducted a specialized meeting with relevant officials from the WIPO Academy to advance the signing of a new MoU between the Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property and the WIPO Academy, focusing on bolstering the cultivation of international IP talent.

While in Switzerland, the delegation visited Roche and engaged in professional exchanges with the company's IP department head.
