The Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration has unveiled its 2024 Outstanding Cases in Optimizing the Intellectual Property (IP) Business Environment, highlighting 10 exemplary initiatives across the city.

These cases, selected after district nominations and professional evaluations, demonstrate innovative and effective strategies for IP management.

Leading the innovations is Pudong New Area's Priority Recommendation System for IP Dispute Mediation, which establishes a new model for alternative IP dispute resolution. Huangpu district has developed an integrated service model for traditional brands, fostering innovation through comprehensive IP support.

Songjiang district is advancing the film industry with innovative judicial services, ensuring the high-quality development and protection of creative outputs. Minhang district's One-Stop MIP IP Protection Platform offers a holistic approach to IP protection, while Qingpu district's Yangtze River Delta Enterprise Trade Secret Protection Alliance emphasizes lifecycle protection for trade secrets.

These initiatives have shown tangible results. Chongming district's focus on geographic indication protection has strengthened its ecological island's IP framework. Huangpu's integrated services have revitalized traditional brands, while Jinshan district's distinctive IP judicial protection supports regional economic growth.

These selected cases highlight three key characteristics: strong innovation, practical measures, and significant real-world impact. These efforts not only enhance Shanghai's IP business environment but also serve as a model for other regions.
