Shanghai IP Administration holds talks with HKTDC

Top officials with the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration or SIPA met with a delegation from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council for key talks on Aug 20.

Yu Chen, SIPA deputy director-general, welcomed Lyu Jian, East China chief representative of the council, or HKTDC, for a work exchange.

Yu reviewed cooperation between Shanghai and Hong Kong in intellectual property, or IP and outlined SIPA's current priorities.

For his part, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council's Lyu gave a briefing on Hong Kong's plans to develop a regional IP trading hub, and he shared updates on the Business of IP Asia Forum. Lyu also called for deeper cooperation with Shanghai.
