In a bid to enhance the city's intellectual property (IP) business environment, the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration recently showcased 10 exemplary cases that improve IP services.
One of them focuses on the "Advancing the North Bund International Legal Service Port" project, which aims to meet the rising demand for specialized legal services in the North Bund area.
As the North Bund develops into a hub for finance, shipping, trade, and technology, the need for high-end legal services has grown. The recently launched North Bund International Legal Service Port aims to become a world-class legal service center, attracting top-tier institutions and offering comprehensive services related to IP disputes, litigation, and arbitration.
Key Initiatives:

2. Innovative Dispute Resolution: The port fosters collaboration among mediation organizations, arbitration institutions, and judicial bodies, enhancing its capacity to resolve IP disputes.
3. Integration with Academia: Partnerships with universities like East China University of Political Science and Law advance research and innovation related to IP protection.
4. Talent Development: Policies are in place to attract and nurture IP talent, supported by collaborations with international legal organizations.
