The short video Gen Z's IP Moments produced by the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration (SIPA) and Tongji University recently won an excellence award at the 2024 Shanghai Silver Pigeon Awards, marking the second year in a row that SIPA has received such an honor.

The Silver Pigeon Award is an important annual award for international communication in Shanghai. It is intended to enhance Shanghai's international communication capabilities, promote intercultural exchange and mutual learning, and increase the city's international influence.

Since 2023 SIPA has been cooperating with the Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property of Tongji University in the production of a series of short videos titled Study IP in Shanghai, which tell stories of the city from the perspective of international students in Shanghai.

Relying on the popularity of the series, Gen Z's IP Moments was posted in 2024. In the short video, Muzafazoda Firdavsi from Tajikistan enthusiastically recounts his rich and fruitful life on campus and shares his personal experience with IP management service agencies, innovative enterprises and cultural venues with his classmates. Firdavsi also shows the progress made by the city in creating a first-class environment for business and innovation.

Shanghai is currently striving to become a global beacon of IP protection. Meanwhile, SIPA will spare no effort in the promotion of more excellent cultural products that display the inclusiveness, passion, wisdom, generosity and modesty of Shanghai and the telling of IP stories in a more appealing style.
