Shanghai, JETRO exchange views on IP cooperation

The Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration (SIPA) and the intellectual property department of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Shanghai Office held a work exchange meeting here on Feb 21.

Yu Chen, deputy director general of SIPA, briefed the Japanese delegation, led by Yuko Kishimoto, head of the intellectual property department of JETRO Shanghai Office, on recent developments and the 2024 work plan regarding Shanghai's intellectual property.

Yu said that SIPA will continue to strengthen the protection of IP rights and provide policy support and guarantees for foreign-funded enterprises in Shanghai. He welcomed constructive suggestions and feedback on Shanghai's IP efforts.

Kishimoto praised China's IP-related achievements and thanked SIPA for its support of Japanese-funded enterprises and institutions in Shanghai. She expressed hope of further enhancing exchange and cooperation between the two sides.

Officials from the international cooperation and exchange department of SIPA and relevant personnel attended the meeting.
