Peng Wen, deputy director of the Intellectual Property Utilization Promotion Department at the China National Intellectual Property Administration

China's intellectual property financial services, characterized by policies, models and ecosystems, showcase dynamic practices. This approach features a well-rounded policy framework, with multiple government departments cooperating to introduce policy measures tailored to the stages and needs of intellectual property financial services.

Innovation in models is encouraged through effective local departments and institutional collaboration – including streamlining pledge financing, innovating risk-sharing and introducing specialized industry intellectual property funds and a wide range of intellectual property insurance products.

Additionally, an enabling ecosystem is taking shape, with support from various intellectual property service platforms and organizations – encompassing initiatives like intellectual property operation platforms, nurturing institutions, guided funds and regional pilot programs. National standards like the Patent Valuation Guidelines have been established and efforts to enhance patent data transparency continue.
