A group of foreign students and teachers from the Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property attended an open day event held by the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration (SIPA) on June 26 to learn about the city's IP efforts.

At SIPA's Shanghai Intellectual Property Protection Center, the students learned how the city handles patent applications, overseas IP disputes and IP collaborative protection. They also interacted with officials and asked questions about various IP issues.

They then toured SIPA's administrative service center, where they were introduced to the center's overall operation.

The students praised Shanghai's IP work and achievements, and said they hope to contribute to global IP governance and cooperation.

SIPA officials said they will continue to hold such open day events and improve the quality, impact, efficiency and service level of the city's IP efforts.
