Local IP administration officials visit WIPO Shanghai Service

A delegation led by Rui Wenbiao, director general of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, or SIPA, recently visited the World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center Shanghai Service – also known as the WIPO Shanghai Service – which is located in the city in East China.

During talks, Lv Guoqiang, head of the WIPO Shanghai Service, gave a briefing on its recent developments and operations.

He thanked the city of Shanghai for its support of the service, saying that it would expand the scope of its operations to better serve the country.

Meanwhile, SIPA Director General Rui lauded the achievements of the WIPO Shanghai Service. He hoped that it would assist Shanghai to accelerate its efforts to become an international IP protection highland and an international IP hub.

The Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration would continue to provide strong support for the development of the service, Rui added.

The World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center is a neutral, international and non-profit dispute resolution institution. It is widely known to effectively provide a variety of cost-effective alternative dispute resolution services.

The WIPO Shanghai Service conducts arbitration and mediation of foreign-related IP dispute cases in China.
