Trademark base launched in Zizhu Hi-Tech Development Zone

The new Shanghai Trademark Brand Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Zizhu National Hi-Tech Development Zone) Base and the China (Shanghai) Intellectual Property Rights Protection Assistance Center (Zizhu National Hi-Tech Development Zone) Workstation were launched at the zone in Shanghai's Minhang district on Jan 20.

Rui Wenbiao, the director-general of the Shanghai intellectual Property Administration, or SIPA, attended the event and delivered a speech.

He said that businesses and parks were the main engines for promoting innovation and development, as well as the main force behind the development of intellectual property, or IP.

Rui added that the development zone should further leverage the considerable experience and expertise of its industries and expand its IP resources, Rui added.

Officials said Minhang district will take the new trademark brand innovation and entrepreneurship base as an opportunity to build a comprehensive regional IP platform with complete functions and services and first-class efficiency.
